Job description

LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to join our team.


Location: Fort Indiantown Gap, PA


Job Description:

LMR is seeking highly qualified Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) to support the Air National Guard Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Human Performance Optimization (HPO) Program.

The CSCS will serve as an embedded human performance professional responsible for developing, implementing, and managing evidence-based strength and conditioning programs designed to improve physical capacity, reduce injury risk, increase recovery, and optimize the operational performance of TACP Operators.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive performance assessments and needs analyses for assigned operators.
  • Design and implement individualized and group strength and conditioning programs.
  • Develop programs focused on injury prevention, performance enhancement, mobility, recovery, and long-term durability.
  • Deliver educational briefings related to physical readiness, fitness, recovery, and human performance.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations and adjust training programs based on performance outcomes.
  • Implement evidence-based neck and spine strengthening protocols.
  • Utilize performance technologies, software applications, and validated assessment tools to support program effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of training activities, assessments, and workload metrics.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding strength and conditioning program improvements.
  • Assist with management of human performance equipment and supply inventories.
  • Participate in required military installation training, orientation, and professional development activities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Human Performance, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
  • Must possess one of the following:
    • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); or
    • Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist supporting:
    • Tactical military athletes,
    • Collegiate athletics (Division I preferred),
    • Professional athletics,
    • Aerospace, test pilot, astronaut, or other comparable high-performance environments.
  • Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
  • Ability to meet all installation access requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting Air Force Special Warfare, TACP, Special Operations Forces, or other tactical populations.
  • Experience operating within an embedded military HPO environment.
  • Familiarity with performance data collection, athlete monitoring systems, and return-to-performance protocols.
