Tableau Development Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and deploying complex and insightful dashboards and visualizations.

This job is part of a Client Account Digital & Technology function. We provide the Account with technology focused thought leadership and guidance.

Serving the Account and client teams through support and maintenance of current tools and implementation of new solutions which empower an innovative future.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tableau Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Tableau, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying complex and insightful dashboards and visualizations.

This individual will work closely with an internal team to translate business requirements into effective and user-friendly Tableau solutions aligned with corporate design style guides.

What You’ll Do:

  • Dashboard Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Tableau that meet specific business requirements, provide actionable insights, and align with the corporate design style guide.
  • Data Preparation and Integration: Connect to, extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various data sources, including databases, cloud platforms, and flat files.
  • Data Modeling and Analysis: Build and optimize data models within Tableau to support complex calculations, aggregations, and visualizations.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize Tableau dashboards and data sources for performance, ensuring responsiveness and efficiency. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • User Experience (UX) and Visualization Best Practices: Apply best practices in data visualization, user interface design, and user experience to create intuitive and impactful dashboards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with business users, project team members, and other stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, provide updates, and ensure the successful delivery. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Explain difficult or sensitive information.
  • Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance policies and ensure data security within Tableau dashboards.
  • Documentation and Training: Document Tableau solutions, including data sources, calculations, and dashboard designs. Provide training and support to stakeholders as needed.
  • Leadership and Influence: Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Ambiguity: Work within broad guidelines and policies.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Must Have Skills:

  • Candidate needs to be an SME in Tableau.
  • Candidate needs to have experience working in a client facing role.
  • Structured/maintainable coding experience.
  • Following structured development.
  • Testing and deployment process.

Nice to have skills:

  • Airtable or Smartsheet’s experience.
