Job description

Currently seeking a Tableau Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week required) located in Charlotte, NC. Plano, TX & Pennington, NJ.
This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
The Enterprise Business Intelligence Technology team is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of a hybrid analytics strategy with a focus on Tableau Cloud adoption. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud, with proven experience migrating large-scale enterprise environments to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model while ensuring governance, performance, and compliance standards are met.
Responsibilities:
  • Architect the implementation of Tableau Cloud SaaS solution, including hybrid integration with on-premise Tableau Server
  • Design migration strategies from on-prem environments to Tableau Cloud / Plus, ensuring minimal business disruptions
  • Implement Tableau Bridge for data connectivity
  • Optimize Tableau performance across SaaS tenants, including load balancing, VizQL tuning, and infrastructure right-sizing
  • Enable AI-assisted and agentic analytics capabilities within Tableau Pulse and Tableau Agents
  • Ensure secure integration with Enterprise identity systems (SAML, Active Directory Federation, Single Sign-On)
  • Partner with Risk and Governance teams to align SaaS adoption with internal standards
  • Establish logging monitoring, and audit controls using tools such as Splunk and Tableau Metadata API

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer
  • Deep knowledge of Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud (Tableau Plus)
  • Experience with Tableau Pulse, Tableau Agents, and AI/ML integrations
  • Strong background in networking, security, and data encryption for cloud platforms
  • Experience leading Proof of Concepts (POCs) for SaaS adoption with measurable outcomes
  • Ability to frame technical outcomes into business impact
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Agile tools (Jira)

Desired skills:
  • Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Einstein Trust Layer, and enterprise AI governance
  • Tableau Certified Architect, AWS/Azure Cloud Architect, or similar
  • Skilled in REST API, Metadata API, Hyper API, and embedding strategies
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
  • Experience with capacity planning and stress testing tools
  • Experience with Tableau on containerized infrastructure
