Position Overview

Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Onsite; 2 days/week schedule subject to change)
Duration: 24-Month Full-Time Consultant Role
Pay Rate: $81.46/hour-$91.69/hour

In this role, you’ll drive critical system engineering activities across multiple aviation programs, contributing directly to aircraft development, modification, certification, and performance validation.


Your Impact (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a central role in designing and validating aircraft systems by:

  • Developing system designs, aircraft modifications, and technical documentation, including:

    • Technical Requirements Documents

    • System schematics and wiring diagrams

    • Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

    • Certification plans (FAA, TCCA, EASA)

    • Equipment qualification and aircraft-level test plans

    • Design compliance reports

  • Performing requirements management, validation, and verification activities

  • Reviewing installation drawings, test data, and qualification reports

  • Analyzing ground and flight test data to confirm system performance and functionality

  • Supporting change management activities including design reviews, trade studies, and impact analyses

  • Participating in internal and external design reviews and governance sessions

  • Collaborating with suppliers through technical subcontract management

  • Ensuring compliance with 14 CFR Part 25 and international certification standards


What You BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 5+ years of systems engineering experience or related field

  • Familiarity with ARP4754A standards for civil aircraft systems development

  • Working knowledge of FAA, TCCA, and EASA Part 25 certification requirements

  • Understanding of system safety processes

  • Familiarity with RTCA DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 standards

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Pay Details: $81.46 to $91.69 per hour
