Job Description
Provides direction and technical guidance for planning, directing and monitoring operating system software and hardware. Analyzes project requirements and recommends enhancements to fit architectural strategies. Installs and maintains operating systems software, system and operation oriented program products for a large central server environment. Designs and implements hardware and software configurations. Monitors central server software and hardware to ensure system availability. Evaluates, builds, tests and migrates systems software for the central server computers. Provides on-call support and problem determination and resolution. Prepares and maintains system documentation and operating procedures.
Basic Qualifications
- Eight or more years of experience in systems software and programming environment
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Ability to provide technical architectural direction input for Hogan systems processing, Hogan Release System.

  • Strong IMS DB skills. CICS skills, IBM Utilities, BMC utilities.

  • Knowledge of Tools like GitLab, CD/CI pipelines, Java, Groovy, Python.

  • Open to work nonstandard work hours and workdays.

  • Ability to design, build, test, debug and document system software and hardware solutions

  • Ability to provide technical consulting on complex projects

  • Ability to formulate and define specifications for complex operating system software and hardware

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
