Overview

SYSTEMS SPECIALIST (TRADOC):

Bowhead seeks a Systems Specialist to support operations to the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Surgeon's Office located in Fort Eustis, VA. The Systems Specialist will develop solutions driven by requirements and supported by data to include statistical analysis, research design and decision support in order to improve decision making, knowledge management, and business practices at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Abnalyze and perform statistical studies and complex retrievals of medical data.
  • Select sources of appropriate data and adapts existing systems.
  • Prepare guidelines, projects, metrics, studies, analyses, and reports using medical information platforms.
  • Focus on processes, knowledge management, process variation, computation and interpretation of data and methodologies including statistical process control methodologies (flow charts, cause-effect diagrams, Pareto charts, scatter diagrams, histograms, run charts, control charts).
  • Elicit, analyze, validate and document business, organizational and/or operational requirements to support the business needs of stakeholders including the Defense Health Agency (DHA), the Army Medical Department (AMEDD), MEDCOM, Enhanced Multi-Service Markets (eMSMs), Defense Health Networks, Medical Readiness Commands (MRCs), and MTFs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Three (3+) years' experience as part of MEDCOM Program Analysis and Evaluation Directorate or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
