Job description

Nature of Work Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Information Systems Consultant to join our procurement team and bridge the gap between complex technology needs and compliance requirements. This role manages the full procurement lifecycle, from market research and specification writing to contract enforcement. Key Responsibilities - Project & Contract Management: Lead technology procurement projects and oversee vendor compliance.

- Specification Writing: Draft complex technical requirements and review Statements of Work (SOW). - Compliance Review: Evaluate agency technology requests to ensure alignment with state policies; serve as the department liaison with the WV Office of Technology for CIO review compliance. - Meeting Facilitation: Lead stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, align cross-functional teams, and document project progress.

- Market Research: Conduct research on emerging technologies and market trends; work with internal customers to assess needs and develop procurement plans. - Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact to resolve vendor disputes and contract issues. Additional Requirements & Duties - Communication: Exceptional writing skills for drafting specifications and strong facilitation skills for leading meetings.
