Job description

Position Title: System Integration/Test Engineer
Location: Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, CO
Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RTL Networks considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Status: Full-time / On-site
Required Clearance: Secret with T5 background investigation. Must be able to obtain/maintain sponsored clearance of up to TS/SCI.
Required Certification(s): IAT Level II (Security+CE)

Summary:
RTL Networks has an exciting opportunity for a DoD SECRET cleared System Integration/Test Engineer to help support Space and Ground segments of a military satellite communications program.
Primary Responsibilities:
Essential responsibilities of the System Integration/Test Engineer include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the development of IT solutions across all components of software systems through design, integration, implementation, and support.
  • Coordinate, develop, and integrate new systems in both physical and virtualized environments.
  • Develop and install upgrades to existing systems.
  • Experience with supporting Windows operating systems.
  • COTS software deployment experience.
  • Develop scripts to improve system administration and deployment automation:
    • Experience writing scripts
    • Familiarity with automation tools / scripting
    • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting (ability to read/understand existing scripts)
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide support across the information system.
  • Strong understanding and application of cybersecurity practices (STIG compliance, system accreditation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and principles.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications:
  • Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) criteria or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification at time of hire (i.e., Security+).
  • Advanced degree and 3+ years' experience or bachelors with 5+ years' experience or equivalent.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
