Lead Technical Engineer (ServiceNow)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Local Preferred)
Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire
Rate: Up to $70/hr (W2 No Benefits)
Work Mode: Hybrid/Onsite Preferred

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Technical Engineer (ServiceNow) to drive technical delivery, architecture, and development. This is a hands-on leadership role (50% development) requiring close collaboration with Product Managers, Architects, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable and secure enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end technical delivery and architecture
Define scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
Partner with Product Managers to align technical execution with business goals
Break down requirements into technical tasks and user stories
Perform code reviews, defect triaging, and root cause analysis
Drive engineering best practices, CI/CD, and code quality standards
Mentor team members and remove technical blockers
Ensure proper documentation (Confluence) and process adherence
Identify and mitigate technical risks and technical debt

Responsibilities
Develop and customize ServiceNow applications
Configure workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and scheduled jobs
Design forms, request workflows, and custom portals
Build integrations with third-party systems and APIs
Manage RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and IAM
Handle platform administration, upgrades, and maintenance
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues

Required Skills
Strong experience in ServiceNow Development & Implementation
Proven experience as a Tech Lead / Lead Engineer
Expertise in ServiceNow scripting and platform capabilities
Experience with system integrations and APIs
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture

Nice to Have
Experience with Agile/Scrum
Exposure to large enterprise environments
