LOCATION: Full-time, onsite in Chantilly, VA
We're looking for a Systems Engineer ServiceNow Developer with practical experience maintaining and extending ServiceNow applications. You'll deliver O&M support, build new features, and develop Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, workflows, catalog items, record producers, and portals using JavaScript. You'll also create notifications and reports, work with MySQL and PHP, support Windows server configuration, develop APIs, and assist with Microsoft SQL Server administration.

Key Responsibilities
In this challenging yet rewarding role as a ServiceNow Developer, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:
  • Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow, managing workflow processes
  • ServiceNow:
    • Provide O&M to their current ServiceNow applications/instance
    • Develop future applications based on needs or requirements of groups the client supports
    • Create Business Rules, UI Polices, Client Scripts, and ACLs based on the needs of the client (JavaScript is the computer language)
    • Create and modify Workflows, Catalog items (if used), and Record Producers
    • Knowledge of developing and using Portals
    • Develop notifications and daily reports from ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with MySQL
  • Familiarity with PHP Scripting
  • Developing in an Agile environment
  • Tracking issues in JIRA
  • Familiarity with systems installation and configuration support for Windows servers
  • Familiarity with developing web application programming interfaces (API)
  • Supporting, maintaining and administration of Microsoft SQL server database
  • Familiarity with incorporating Infosec policies into requirements documentation

Highly Desired Qualifications
Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
  • Familiarity with relational database programming such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or other RDBMS
  • Knowledge of Sponsor technical systems, security procedures and processes
  • Providing briefings and briefing support on technical status of projects to office-level and group-level management
  • Strong communicator with the ability to speak to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Using excellent interpersonal and team building skills to enhance partnerships with diverse customer base, contractors, service delivery partners, or other stakeholders
  • Familiarity with either Linux or Windows operating environments
  • Object Oriented programming
  • Working in the application of software project lifecycle principles including formal reviews and milestones
  • Knowledge of Sponsor learning enterprise technologies, applications and organizational structure
  • Supporting a Sponsor schoolhouse.
