Job description

CORA Services is a dynamic and growing not for profit organization in Philadelphia. For more than 50 years, CORA has served children and families experiencing emotional, academic and social challenges that impact their development and productivity. Our mission is to empower children, young people and families to thrive through quality and compassionate service.

CORA is currently seeking a Support Services Coordinator to work within YouthCOR programs to increase student accessibility and inclusion within YouthCOR. The Support Services Coordinator will work with program staff to create and support student accommodation plans as well as connect students and their families to the relevant supports needed.

Hourly pay rate: $20.30 (Pay rate commensurate with experience.)

All CORA team members are expected to uphold the mission, vision and values of CORA Services which includes valuing all individuals and supporting each individual’s potential for growth.

In addition, as a Support Services Coordinator, your duties will include:

  • Create accessible programs for all students to participate in OST programs.
  • Promote an inclusive program culture at the site level by recommending trainings and resources for program staff.
  • Support Site Directors/OST Managers in developing training plans for staff to ensure provision of appropriate trainings in SEL, Behavior Management, Differentiated Learning, etc.
  • Determine the needs and resources available in the community, complete resource mapping and develop a resource directory to connect families to resources within the school and community.
  • Complete an intake to assess the needs of the students during the registration process or as referred by the Site Director or Parent/Guardian.
  • Develop and implement support plans for students to engage in programs successfully.
  • Document all outreach and student progress using case notes.
  • Assist Student’s Family with registration for services and supports with external service providers, when appropriate.
  • Support the site director(s) with family engagement and outreach with respective case load.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager, Youth Support Services, as needed.

EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS in Social Work or a closely related field (i.e. social services, sociology, psychology, theology, education, criminal justice, human services, and public administration) preferred

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Experience in early intervention, early childhood special education, social work, early childhood education, child development, special education, family counseling, family studies, social welfare, psychology or other comparable social sciences.
  • One or more years of experience working with or providing services to children, families, or individuals with disabilities through care coordination or case management.
  • Experience preferred working in a School/day program setting with students, facilitating meetings, and working in groups.
