Job description

Job Title: Support Services Assistant
Location: White Plains, NY
Contract Length: 6 months
Local Requirement: Candidates must be local to the Tri-State area

Project Overview:
Provide support services to the mailroom and maintenance departments of the company headquarters.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Mailroom Support:
  • Provide support to the Mailroom Supervisor.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute internal and external mail.
  • Manage outbound mail and package requests.
  • Operate various pieces of mailroom equipment or machines.
  • Provide backup and cross-functional work for members of the mailroom team.
  • Provide messenger services by making hand deliveries and pick-ups for executives or external parties, including trips to the Post Office, for bank deposits, and bill deliveries.
Building Maintenance Support:
  • Provide support to the Building Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist with management of stored materials, including furniture.
  • Support internal relocation of staff members.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of event furniture and equipment.
  • Support emergent work.
Skills:
  • Ability to take direction and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to deliver high-level customer service within required timelines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • General knowledge of mailroom operations and equipment/machines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and ability to learn new software.

Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in Support Services (mailroom or maintenance).
  • Customer service experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
