Job description

SUMMARY
We are looking for a developer (second level support) for our National Airspace System Common Reference team to meet future needs of our FAA customer. We are seeking highly motivated talent with Java, Linux or Openshift backgrounds.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and maintain application, using Java, Openshift. Kubernetes, Openshift administration, system configuration, such as Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana Dashboard in Linux environment. Maintain Ansible and shell scripts. Maintain code base and support continuous integration using Git/Gitlab. Second level support for deployment and field issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
  • Experience supporting Second Level Engineering on NAS systems.
  • Experience with SLE System Support Directives (SSD) development, test and deployment processes
  • Experience supporting SWIM Capabilities in the NAS
  • Experience in Java development or object oriented programming.
  • Able to support application configurations in Linux environments.
  • Manage and configure with various databases, systems.
  • Detail oriented in documentation and motivated in learning.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Ansible, Linux Admin (RHEL8), selinux
  • Experience with kubernetes, docker, kubernetes.
  • Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana or ELK
  • Messaging: Pubsub message system, such as Kafka or JMS Message queue or Active MQ
