Job Summary:

Direct oversight of one or more multi-million-dollar complex program(s) with responsibilities including on time delivery, key business metrics attainment and process improvements, leading customer focused teams through new product/platform introduction and driving customer satisfaction through site execution. Works directly with customer managers, sales, supply chain, quality, and engineering to understand the customer's business strategies and future product plans to enable and execute production readiness.

Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Drives productivity, process control, resource management, and consistent business practices across the team based on a thorough understanding of the end-to-end business processes.
  • Can actively demonstrate strong communications skills both verbally and written.
  • Manages required activity with various support organizations in support of delivering customer service level expectations, including engineering, logistics, supply chain, contracts, operations, and new product introduction.
  • Manages & owns product line execution through the site, ensuring on time delivery to the customer.
  • Primary site point of contact for program(s) to achieve identified deliverables.
  • Does not have direct profit and loss (P&L) ownership or accountability; supports program execution, customer satisfaction, and related operational metrics within established budget and business guidelines.
  • Manages required activity with various support organizations to meet and exceed customer service level expectations including but not limited to production, engineering, logistics, supply chain, contracts, quality and New Product Introduction teams.
  • Collaborates with the customer focus team through a cadence of program execution focused engagements including program standups, internal program reviews and metric assessments to drive a higher level of customer satisfaction.
  • May support the transition of new products and/or platforms introduced into production.
  • Coordinates with production control and management to provide ramp-up modeling to ensure 100% production readiness is achieved.
  • Works with the production team to negotiate a master production schedule to ensure schedule achievability.
  • Evaluates and provides feedback to production control on production output plans by means of production reporting methods.

Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Contributes to budget development and performance standards of department and subordinate employees.
  • Interacts with customers/clients, functional peer group managers, and upper management. Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives.
  • Actions impact the success of the overall department and sometimes the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions will result in delays to projects, loss of revenue, or allocation of additional resources to remedy.
  • Thorough knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in professional expertise. Is competent in all job functions and has a general understanding of industry practices, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions to a wide variety of problems and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis. May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance but determine the best course of action to achieve results.
  • Work is performed independently requiring judgment and discretion. May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.
  • Interacts with management and professionals within department and other parts of the organization. May represent departments externally on projects or with clients.
  • Actions impact the success of the overall department and sometimes the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions will result in delays to projects, loss of revenue, or allocation of additional resources to remedy.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.


Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Highly skilled in utilization of ERP systems
  • Demonstrated experiences working in a multidiscipline fast paced manufacturing environment is a plus
