Job description

PT - Work-Based Learning & Program Collaboration Facilitator (Grant-funded)
Salary: $40.00 per hour
Summary of Function: (Grant-Funded) The Work-Based Learning & Program Collaboration Facilitator supports the implementation of the Regional Resilience Initiative, a CTE Innovation Grant, focused on expanding equitable access to work-based learning (WBL) and career pathways for special populations in rural Arizona. This position develops and facilitates industry-led workshops, coordinates employer partnerships, and embeds structured WBL experiences into logistics, allied health, and construction programs.
Typical Duties:
  • Serves Students. Provides assistance in a professional and supportive manner to students, ensuring equitable access to program resources and opportunities. Work-Based Learning Coordination: Coordinates and facilitates structured WBL experiences, including internships, apprenticeships, and industry-led simulations, for up to 120 CTE participants. Ensures 100% of participants engage in at least one structured WBL experience aligned with program pathways. Manages WBL placement logistics, including student matching, employer coordination, site visits, and progress monitoring. Tracks WBL participation, completion rates, and competency attainment disaggregated by special population status. Develops and implements WBL protocols, competency frameworks, and assessment tools in collaboration with industry partners. Provides ongoing support to students during WBL placements, addressing barriers and ensuring successful completion.
  • Employer Partnership Development & Collaboration: Engages and collaborates with one to eight regional employers in logistics, allied health, and construction sectors. Co-designs curriculum, training materials, and competency expectations with industry partners to ensure alignment with workforce demand. Coordinates employer involvement in high-impact technical workshops, including scheduling industry experts to facilitate sessions, demonstrate industry-standard practices, and provide real-time feedback to students. Facilitates regional career roundtables connecting students with employers for networking, mentorship, and direct hiring opportunities. Supports employer engagement strategies that prioritize paid or stipend-supported WBL opportunities for economically disadvantaged students. Documents employer partnership models, best practices, and lessons learned for the statewide replication toolkit.
  • Workshop Instruction & Mobile Delivery: Delivers high-impact technical workshops (5-25 total) across rural communities, including San Luis, Parker, Somerton, and Yuma. Facilitates 80-160 hours of combined technical instruction and applied learning per participant cohort. Integrate hands-on, simulation-based training that enables students to demonstrate industry-aligned competencies. Adapts instructional delivery to meet the needs of special populations, including English Language Learners, first-generation college students, economically disadvantaged students, and non-traditional learners. Collaborates with industry experts who physically attend workshops to direct sessions and connects training to current workplace expectations. Supports mobile delivery logistics, including equipment setup, materials preparation, and coordination with rural site hosts.
  • Data Collection, Tracking, and Accountability: Maintains accurate and timely data entry in the placement-focused tracking system (Scaffold DataX) for all participants, WBL placements, workshop attendance, competency assessments, and employment outcomes. Disaggregates and analyzes data by special population status to monitor equity and identify participation gaps. Submits quarterly progress reports documenting participation metrics, completion rates, WBL engagement, competency attainment, and employment outcomes aligned to SMART grant goals. Tracks and documents student barriers encountered and interventions implemented to support the removal of systemic obstacles. Maintains confidentiality of student records and complies with FERPA and grant data security requirements. Collaborates with the grant evaluation team to provide participant feedback, case studies, and success stories for inclusion in the statewide replication toolkit and external reporting. Monitors achievement toward grant performance targets and alerts the project coordinator to any deviations requiring corrective action. Coordinates with Scaffold DataX technical staff and project data administrators to ensure proper system configuration, troubleshoot data integration issues, validate data accuracy across multiple platforms (SIS, LMS, workforce tracking systems), and participate in pilot evaluation activities documenting system effectiveness, implementation challenges, and recommendations for institutional adoption and statewide replication.
  • Student Support & Career Readiness: Provides career coaching and guidance to students navigating WBL placements and career transitions. Supports students in accessing wraparound services, including transportation assistance, childcare support, safety equipment, and baseline employment prerequisites. Collaborates with career navigators to ensure students receive individualized education and career planning using Pipeline AZ and labor market information. Monitors student progress toward completion of 80-160 hour program requirements and intervenes when barriers emerge. Supports follow-up tracking of employment outcomes, including job placement, internships, apprenticeships, or continued education within six months of completion.
  • Supports and participates in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, allied health, construction/trades, workforce development, career and technical education, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in logistics, allied health, construction, or related industry sector
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating work-based learning, internships, apprenticeships, or employer partnerships
  • Experience working with community college students, adult learners, or special populations preferred
  • Applicants may indicate any additional language proficiencies in their application materials, including English/Spanish, as relevant to the position

  • Arizona Driver's License or Equivalent
