Position Summary
Trackonomy is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a team of approximately two to three production operators for the second shift (2 pm - 10 pm) responsible for manufacturing RFID labels and smart tracking products at our North Carolina facility.
This role is ideal for a strong floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment and can drive safety, quality, output, and continuous improvement while maintaining high team engagement and accountability. The Production Supervisor will work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Account Management and Operations leadership to ensure production goals and customer commitments are met.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production activities for RFID label manufacturing operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately three production operators
  • Drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery performance
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure execution against daily and weekly targets
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, equipment issues, and workflow inefficiencies
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and work instructions
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams on process improvements and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate production reporting, labor tracking, scrap tracking, and shift documentation
  • Support inventory control and material flow coordination with Supply Chain and warehouse teams
  • Train and onboard new operators while reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Participate in scaling manufacturing processes and supporting new product introductions (NPI)
  • Foster a positive, high-performance team culture aligned with Trackonomy's values and operating principles
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership or production supervisory role
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, production, or machine operator experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience supervising production operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, RFID, labels, printing, semiconductor, medical device, or related high-volume manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a startup or rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to balance urgency with attention to detail and quality
  • Familiarity with production metrics, lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and manufacturing reporting systems
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on the production floor for extended periods
  • Ability to work second shift hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment
  • Exposure to ERP systems
  • Experience with quality systems and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Forklift certification is a plus

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
