JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Administrative Intern, Materials FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt
REPORTS TO: Materials Supervisor
SUMMARY
Provide support to the Materials department in the activities assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Materials Supervisor, the supervisor is responsible for monitoring:
• Weekly Buffer and Safety inventory
• Capture of Buffer and Safety inventory in Level Load
• Request and follow up on the Condor system
• Capture customer packaging receipts
• Separate, scan, and electronically file shipping evidence
• Maintain and update the service part order system
• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and applicable instructions
• Other materials-related activities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current college student or recent college graduate with a degree focus in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with the customers and plant material functions to formulate and write common material system procedures and practices.
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Assessment (26 on the cognitive portion).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does not require any travel.
