Description:Climb the Ladder of Success! Turner Morris is looking for Roofers for our Summit Area locations.


About Turner Morris

Founded in 1992 by two professional commercial roofers, Turner Morris was established with a mission to raise the bar in the commercial roofing business in Colorado and create a different kind of roofing company-one that would emphasize safety, the fundamentals of character, competence and commitment.


Position Details

  • Working on sloped roofs, which may include tasks such as tear off of existing roof systems, addition of roofing underlayments, custom metal flashing work, and overburden addition, which may include shingles, tiles, standing seam metal, etc.
  • Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures.
  • Checking to ensure that complete roofs are watertight on a daily basis.
  • Sweeping and cleaning roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials.
  • Reliable transportation to be able to get to worksites.
  • Ability to safely work at heights.
  • Among other responsibilities.

Schedule

Full time

8-10 hours shift

Monday to Friday

Overtime may be required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to weather conditions, occasionally exposed to fumes, sharp materials, vibrations, or airborne particles. Working at significant heights and inclinations. Personal protective equipment will be provided. Standing, walking, climbing ladders through the workday on a regular basis, repetitive bending and/or kneeling on hard and/or sloped roof surfaces.


Following conditional job offer, physical and drug test will be reviewed.

Requirements:
  • Ability to get to and from job sites and/or the shop in a timely manner.
  • Previous roofing experience or construction is a plus!
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and ability to use common measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
  • Regular attendance, punctuality, and ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Actively participate in safety training and maintain a safe work environment.
