Perks of working at AMS Summer Camp!

Summer Camp Session: July 6th- August 28th, 2026

Monday - Friday only: Enjoy your evenings and weekends off!

Full-time position: 35-40 hours per week - consistent daytime hours with a great work-life balance

Rain or Shine - We're a Team! At Apple Montessori, we believe in flexibility and teamwork. If the weather doesn't cooperate, our Lifeguard/Swim Instructors support our classrooms for the day, helping create a positive learning environment indoors. Your role may shift, but your impact stays strong - rain or shine!


50% support toward your Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (including CPR & First Aid!) *Must work 35 out of 40 camp days to qualify


What You'll Do:

  • Keep a watchful eye and maintain constant surveillance of the pool
  • Lead developmentally appropriate swimming lessons for children
  • Be ready for rescues and perform CPR/First Aid when necessary
  • Ensure pool safety and hygiene, including chemical checks
  • Jump in to support classrooms on rainy days - we're a team, rain or shine!

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification - or willingness to obtain as part of your Lifeguard Certification process.
  • Red Cross Lifeguard Certification - or a commitment to complete certification prior to your first official day.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children
  • Strong awareness, alertness, and a passion for safety
  • Team spirit and flexibility - ready to help wherever needed
