Horizons at Brunswick

Horizons at Brunswick is an enrichment program that fosters a love of learning and supports personal growth among under-resourced K-8th-grade boys from Greenwich public schools. The program runs for six weeks in the summer from June 30 to August 7, 2026.

The Summer Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing health care and first aid to both students and staff, administering medications, coordinating student health care needs with families when necessary, monitoring health and cleanliness standards, and maintaining organized files and paperwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of all students and staff, and promoting health practices throughout the program.
  • Providing nursing care to injured and ill students and staff, and coordinating follow-up care when appropriate.
  • Communicating with parents and staff about special issues and needs of students.
  • Administering routine medications and treatment to students and staff.
  • Maintaining health records and first aid kits for on-site locations and off-campus field trips.

Requirements for this role include being licensed as a registered nurse in CT and holding current first aid and CPR certifications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience working with children and teens from Kindergarten to 8th grade. This role spans a six-week summer enrichment program (June 30-Aug. 7, 2026).ย
