This position will ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Performs quality checks, process audits, and aesthetic/dimensional reviews on assembled components and assists in data analysis on Assembly processes. Primary Responsibilities 

The Quality Assurance Technician will assure product quality and customer satisfaction at our Sub-Zero facility on 2nd shift in the Assembly department. Performs quality checks, process audits, and aesthetic/dimensional reviews on assembled components and assists in data analysis on Assembly processes. Leads continuous product and process improvements and performs root cause analysis and executes problem solving actions. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Performs detailed inspections, audits, and testing of parts and products to ensure they meet dimensional, functional, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Communicates nonconforming product quality issues to the appropriate individuals and departments.
  • Implements procedures and systems necessary to promote continuous improvement of parts and products.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and analyzing nonconforming product to determine root cause and drive permanent corrective action.
  • Generates reports and communicates information using various Microsoft Office software applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and to handle stressful situations with professionalism is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this position.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) are required.
  • Experience with Calipers, Protractors, Aesthetic/Cosmetic Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in quality assurance and/or extended on the job work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 1:30 - 9:30 PM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with basic quality problem solving tools (Histograms, Pareto, Run charts, Cause-Effect diagrams, etc.).
  • Experience with Surface Plate, Height Gauges, Micrometers, CMM’s and Aesthetic/ Cosmetic Requirements.
  • Experience with control plans and other inspection documentation.
