Job description

Assembler Position

The Assembler position will support department goals regarding quality and quantity of production in a safe and respectful manner. Specific tasks may vary at different workstation assignments and as different product models are manufactured.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts per work instruction into high quality product utilizing tools and fixtures
  • Utilize test equipment to ensure product is assembled correctly per quality expectations and other standards
  • Visually inspect parts and product for defects such as scratches, dents, slugs, pinched wires, etc.
  • Utilize workstation computer to read schedule, match parts to work orders, view work instructions, scan parts into inventory software, etc.
  • Adhere to safety standards
  • Uphold quality expectations
  • Train employees on procedures and techniques
  • Assist in defining work instructions
  • Housekeeping and workstation organization tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Shift Schedule

  • 3rd shift hours are normally Sunday - Thursday, 9:30pm - 5:30am
  • Employees may have an unexpected shift assignment change to 2nd shift. 2nd shift schedule is normally Monday - Friday, 1:30pm - 9:30pm.

This position requires a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended. A negative drug/alcohol test result is required for employment. Refusal to take the test or a positive result may disqualify a candidate from further consideration. All drug testing will be conducted in accordance with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

Required

Physical Abilities: Ability to perform repetitive line assembly tasks Ability to lift up to 40lbs Ability to perform body movements including reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, turning, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and fine manipulation Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day Ability to work with fiberglass, plastic, glue, and insulation Ability to visually inspect details to spot defects Ability to adhere to strict attendance standards Computer skills Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both in a team environment and independently Has strong attention to detail and desire for precision and accuracy to uphold quality standards
