Job description

BODY20® is looking for a studio manager to lead the team to ignite sales and serve as a lead for the studio. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced fitness studio manager to get in on one of the hottest and most transformational concept in fitness.

The Studio Manager is a critical role and holds total oversight of everything in the studio, including sales, operations and fitness coaching.
You will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability, streamlining studio operations and supporting recruitment and optimal staffing.
You will lead sales, hiring sales staff and signing up new members, along with other studio setup activities.

Key responsibilities include:
Sales & Marketing:
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and ensure KPI's are effectively managed
  • Lead and coach the sales team
  • Plan and execute offsite marketing and sales events, partnering with other local businesses
  • Continuously monitor and drive towards sales targets
  • Manage the team, consisting of sales associates and coaches (including one lead coach)
  • Assist in new hire recruiting and interviewing
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and training
  • Evaluate employee performance and create improvement action plans Implement and roll out promotions and other corporate programs in the studio

Operations:
  • Create and maintain the staff schedule
  • Handle member service escalations and issues
  • Ensure daily operational processes are followed (e.g. member service & follow-up, cleanliness, invoicing/billing)
  • Work with the lead coach to ensure coaches are delivering a good member experience while following the proper coaching, safety and other operating protocols
  • Produce daily and weekly corporate reports, attend weekly studio and corporate meetings, and organize and lead sales and staff meetings

  • Previous experience managing a team of employees in the fitness industry

  • A lead-by-example style, inspiring and motivating the team but also willing to step into any role to fill in temporarily if required and troubleshoot issues for continuous improvement
  • Must have an understanding of budgets, inventory, scheduling, cost controls, and facility maintenance
  • The capability to lead effectively and create a welcoming, positive, and fun work environment
  • Comfort working on multiple concurrent activities, while still keeping an eye on the details
  • An energetic and friendly disposition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing and able to work mornings, nights, and weekends if necessary
