Reports to: Enrichment Coordinator, Director of Strategic Programs
About the Role: The Afterschool Enrichment Student Worker supports the Enrichment Coordinator and Director of Strategic Programs by assisting with the day-to-day management of afterschool enrichment programs. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity for students who enjoy working with children in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.
Schedule : Temporary, Monday-Friday, 3:45 p.m.-4:45 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist with planning and facilitating daily enrichment activities.
- Support carpool drop-off and pick-up.
- Participate in enrichment activities and assigned duties.
- Enforce program rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
- Help maintain facilities and equipment, keeping areas clean and organized.
- Assist in other areas as needed.
- Supervise students during field trips, ensuring safe and positive participation.
- Oversee and, when necessary, participate in pool supervision during swimming activities.
Position Requirements- Age Requirement:
- Students aged 14-15 are required to complete the Georgia Youth Work Permit process during onboarding. This requirement does not apply to students aged 16 and older.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to be flexible, resourceful, and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and service skills, with the ability to listen and respond effectively to student or parent concerns.
- Flexibility with work schedule and hours as needed.
- Availability to attend all three weeks of Sports and Games enrichment.
Physical Demands- Regularly required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands.
- Must occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.
- Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.
