Position Description
Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the Student Assistant will assist with business school support functions during the summer, including but not limited to supporting academic initiatives, marketing programs, event planning, and other duties as assigned. This role interacts with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers. High attention to detail is essential. The ability to multi-task is critical.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet students, faculty, and visitors, directing them to the appropriate office, school, or unit.
  • Partner with Student Services to support students academically by assisting with academic support services.
  • Support Student Services and other business school staff with day-to-day tasks, including the coordination and implementation of SHSB student-centered events.
  • Complete administrative assignments, including but not limited to using department resources/tools to perform data clean-up, append, and/or verification within Excel documents in preparation for mass import/upload.

Required
  • Admitted or pursuing full-time Business Master's Degree Program at Mercer.
  • Student must have a desire to contribute to Business programs, the new student transition process, and Academic and Career Services initiatives.

  • Demonstrate close attention to details.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
