Job Description:
This is an hourly paid student position
Positions open-One MACC and One MSBA Tutor.
Only candidates with no less than B+ grades in business courses to apply.
Primarily assisting the Atlanta Stetson-Hatcher School of Business team in two areas: as a Peer Tutor and performing various administrative and event support functions.
As a Peer Tutor, you will handle a workload of students needing assistance in selected graduate business courses that you have completed in the program.
Administrative functions include but are not limited to answering phone calls, handling incoming and outgoing mail, data entry and analysis, flyer creation, and paper/electronic record maintenance. This position requires knowledge of Microsoft office software and a willingness to learn more, as well as interpersonal skills to work with graduate students. Also, Student Assistants must be willing to talk to new students and families in person or virtually as well as support Student Services events when needed. Other duties will be assigned by the Director of Student Services as needed.
In addition, this position may require some evening and weekend hours, but they will be kept to a minimum.
This position will report to the Director of Student Services at the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business- Atlanta Campus.
Due to the Peer Tutoring component, the candidates must be actively enrolled in one of the graduate business programs at Mercer and must have completed at least one 8-week academic session at Mercer by the time of application.
Must have at least B+ grades in graduate business courses.
The student assistant will also maintain a professional appearance, work with various computer applications and software, such as Excel, and Word, as well as assist faculty, staff, and students when needed.
