Position Description
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
BSU's International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) department assists with maintenance of immigration status, on and off-campus employment authorization, pre-arrival and re-entry information, and conduct various informational workshops. ISSS supports smooth transitions to the American way of life and education by organizing a specialized orientation for students and scholars each semester.
POSITION INFORMATION
International Orientation Leaders will work a maximum of 26 hours to support International Student Orientation, airport pickups/drop offs, evening and weekend programming.
Assignments are as needed and may total fewer than 26 hours
Dates of employment for this position are between Tuesday, August 25, 2026 and Monday, August 31, 2026.
SCHEDULE INFORMATION
This position will not provide hours throughout the semester.
Candidates who are hired must be available on the following dates and times:
  • Tuesday 08/25/26: 12pm - 2pm
  • Wednesday 08/26/26: 4-hour morning shift (Time TBD) OR 4-hour evening shift (Time TBD)
  • Thursday 08/27/26: 9am-4pm
  • Friday 08/28/26: 9am-4pm
  • Saturday 08/29/26: 9am - 11am OR 1pm- 3pm
  • Sunday 08/30/26: 6pm-8pm
  • Monday 08/31/26: 5-7pm

Students hired into this role may be rehired for the Spring 2027 International Student Orientation (January 13, 2027 - January 18, 2027) depending on budget and staffing needs.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
