Position Title: Superintendent of Schools
Location: Wyndmere Public School, Wyndmere, North Dakota

Position Overview
Wyndmere Public School is seeking a dedicated leader who is committed to supporting students, staff, and the Wyndmere community while continuing to build a strong educational environment for our district to serve as Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer of the district, responsible for the overall management, leadership, and success of the school system in partnership with the School Board.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in educational leadership or a related field
  • Holds a current North Dakota Superintendent Credential or is eligible to obtain credentialing through the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB) prior to the start date
  • Successful experience in educational leadership (building or district level preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of school finance, curriculum, instruction, and personnel management
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, families, and the community

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the district
  • Ensure high-quality educational programs and student achievement
  • Oversee district operations, including finance, facilities, and personnel
  • Recommend and implement policies in collaboration with the School Board
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations
  • Foster a positive school culture and strong community engagement
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative of the district

Compensation and Contract
  • Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications

  • Comprehensive benefits package including full family health insurance, and retirement through the North Dakota Teachers' Fund for Retirement
