Job Description:

This is a full-time position which will provide daily oversight of our student housing program, including maintenance functions within student housing, airport pick-ups and drop offs, and other duties listed below.

A successful applicant should be detail-focused, able to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with students and staff of diverse backgrounds. Effective organization and accurate record keeping will be essential to the success of this position. Basic residential trouble shooting and repair skills are required.

Job Duties:

To provide daily oversight of the Student Housing program and its maintenance functions. These may include the following:

  • Assigning student housing to new incoming students.
  • Assigning student housing to current students when needed.
  • Scheduling and completing monthly inspections of student apartments.
  • Maintaining inspection records and reporting deficiencies to the Housing Manager.
  • Completing light residential repair work, such as drywall patching, drain cleaning, painting, and other miscellaneous items, if needed.
  • Moving furniture, setting up apartments for student move-ins, and cleaning apartments after they are vacated.
  • Responding to student maintenance requests and communicating with complex management.
  • Schedule and conduct student move-ins and move-outs inspections.
  • Guiding and assisting part-time Housing Coordinator(s) with miscellaneous tasks.
  • Schedule part-time Housing Coordinator(s) vehicle time in scheduling system.
  • Assisting with student life activities including grocery shopping trips and doctor appointments, if needed.
  • Create welcome baskets for arrivals.
  • Other duties as assigned by school management.

Qualifications/Licenses:

  • Applicants must hold a valid, unrestricted US driver's license, and should have reliable transportation.
    The employee may be required to use their personal vehicle to travel to/from student housing complexes. Mileage will be eligible for reimbursement.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • We are looking for a person with excellent customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with people from around the world. Attention to detail, natural organizational skills and the ability to multi-task & work independently are a must.
  • Experience in residential and/or commercial maintenance work.
  • Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively with students and employees of diverse background is imperative.
  • Excellent customer service
