Job description

Positions exist in Computer Services at Porterville Developmental Center.
Assist the Information Technology Specialists with help desk duties, installation and removal of hardware and software, repair of computer systems, and assist in the troubleshooting of the network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi, and other networked systems.
Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth, a formally incarcerated youth, or a victim of human trafficking as defined by Government Code section 18220 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority. The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.
These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
