St. John’s Prep is an inclusive, Catholic, Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School for young men in grades 6 through 12. Position Overview and Responsibilities

? A part-time, hourly employee will serve as a member of our strength and conditioning program under the direction of the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.

? Implement training programs for teams, groups, and individuals.

? Provide education on healthy habits and decision-making related to exercise and nutrition. ? Support general upkeep of the fitness center.

? Help prepare the fitness center for daily lifts and assist in resetting the space following workouts.

? Be an active, engaged, and supportive coach.

? Contribute to strength and conditioning team learning and planning.

? This is a 10-month position with daily hours from 6 to 8 am and 3 to 5 pm.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

? Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or physical education-related fields required.

? Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) preferred

? American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.


Physical Requirements:

? Standing/sitting for long periods of time.

? Bending, lifting, pushing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stooping.

? Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

? Must be able to reach at and above shoulder height to access higher areas of equipment, etc. ? Must be capable of adapting to frequent changes in position throughout the workday.

? Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone.

? Use of hands and fingers for manipulation, and using computer keyboard, educational tools, play equipment, and perform first aid and CPR.

? Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
