Job description

OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: Strength & Conditioning Student Assistant Fall 2027LOCATION: St. PaulPAY RATE: $16.50/hourHOURS: 5-15
JOB SUMMARY:The Strength & Conditioning Student Assistant position is designed for individuals who want to become a strength & conditioning professional or work in a similar field. Employees will have the opportunity to be involved in the day-to-day function of the strength & conditioning department and participate in an education-based curriculum.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Helping set up and break down the weight room for strength & conditioning workouts
  • Helping with upkeep and basic maintenance of the weight room and equipment
  • Assisting with distribution of post-workout protein shakes
  • On the floor coaching of strength & conditioning workouts
  • Assisting with testing, monitoring, and data analysis utilizing performance technology

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS:
  • Communication skills, speaking to large groups
  • Hands-on experience in the development and implementation of strength & conditioning workouts
  • Structure and organization of workflow
  • Motivational tactics

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Pursuing a degree in Exercise Science or a related field
  • Having an interest in pursuing a career in Strength & Conditioning or a related field
