Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager will oversee all projects across the organization including, but not limited to, budgeting, allocating resources, monitoring progress and transparent communication along the way.
REPORTS TO: Chief Operations Officer
SUPERVISES: N/A
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective manner.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Track projects costs to meet budget.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis about strategy, adjustment, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
  • Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent, is required.
  • Previous project planning and team management experience required.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Travel is required approximately 25% of each month.
  • Self-starter that takes initiative with high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills with the ability to lead and motivate.
  • Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
  • Visual Acuity: ability to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, including to make general observations of facilities.
