The key purpose of this position is to provide strategic leadership and oversight of Purdue Federal's Project Management Office by ensuring enterprise initiatives are prioritized, governed, resourced, and successfully delivered in alignment with organizational goals. This position works closely with executive leadership, business units, Information Technology, and external vendors to drive project execution, support organizational change, improve operational effectiveness, and provide visibility into enterprise project performance and strategic outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Responsible for managing the enterprise project portfolio and PMO governance process. This includes:
  • Translating organizational strategy into project priorities, departmental objectives, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Leading the project intake, evaluation, prioritization, and governance processes.
  • Administering and continuously improving Purdue Federal's project prioritization model (P0-P3).
  • Monitoring project and portfolio health, including risks, dependencies, resource constraints, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Providing executive leadership with recommendations, project updates, portfolio reporting, and decision-support information.
  • Leading or sponsoring complex, cross-functional initiatives that support strategic objectives.
Responsible for leading and developing PMO team members. This includes:
  • Providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, and professional development for Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Business Analysts, and other assigned staff.
  • Establishing performance expectations and promoting accountability across the PMO team.
  • Supporting employee growth through feedback, coaching, training, and development opportunities.
