About the RoleUber Advertising is looking for a data-driven strategist to join our Strategy & Planning team. In this role, you will develop scalable data systems, define data standards, and build tools that power decision-making across the advertising organization. You will partner with cross-functional teams - from sales and operations to product and finance - to ensure our monthly and quarterly business reviews are grounded in accurate, accessible, and actionable data, and to deliver the insights and infrastructure that support the long-term growth and evolution of Uber's advertising business.This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, business strategy, and data engineering, and who can translate complex datasets into impactful business insights and scalable solutions.What You'll Do:- Design and Build Data Products: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that support monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs) as well as other critical operational workflows- Drive Data Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce data definitions, KPIs, and governance practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust across the ad org- Scale Data Infrastructure: Partner with engineering and analytics teams to design systems that enable efficient data ingestion, transformation, and accessibility for the business- Enhance Data Fluency: Develop frameworks, documentation, and training to increase data literacy across the advertising organization- Enable Strategic Planning: Collaborate with strategy leaders to align data insights with business goals, investment decisions, and go-to-market strategies- Automate and Streamline: Identify and execute on opportunities to automate reporting and analysis workflows, freeing teams to focus on strategic decision-makingBasic Qualifications:- 4+ years' experience in Analytics, Strategy and Plannning, Advertising, Ad Sales Ops, Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or similar- Advanced proficiency in SQL: _live test required as part of the interview process_- Proficiency in at least one data visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear, actionable insights- Bachelor's degreePreferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field- Familiarity with media, advertising, or retail/eCommerce sectors preferred- Experience in advertising technology, media, or marketplace businesses- Familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks (dbt experience is a strong plus)- Track record of building scalable, self-service data systems for non-technical stakeholders- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesFor Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$118,000 per year - USD$131,000 per year.For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp
