Job description

Are you looking to make an impact in the process control industry? We are an equal opportunity organization looking for a driven leader to develop the mid- and long-term global organization strategy for an industry leading control valves business, passionate about understanding business strategy, identifying growth avenues & customer pain points, collaboration and data analysis and applying them to drive an impactful change.

Support industry and competitor research to develop competitive intelligence to drive robust business plans in collaboration with Industry sales, Product management, Regional World Area teams and other functions. This role is intended to work globally with customers, our world area marketing and sales teams, and engineering to identify, define and develop market opportunities and penetration strategies including acquisitions. 
 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Identify and utilize multiple avenues of primary market research to support medium term industry plans and identify long term strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with external and internal teams to lead industry investigations and develop industry growth plans 
  • Leverage competitive intelligence to drive strategic industry growth and inform key initiatives, aligning insights with the organization's long-term vision and goals
  • Collaborate with key team members for go/no-go decision on advanced technology ideas; Identify how these ideas can support strategic initiatives
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate dynamics in the world area such as segment growth, new opportunities, industry trends, strategic account movements and competitive intelligence that impact business performance.
  • Drive cadence of competitor product offerings and financials, performance by industry
  • Drive early-stage gate process for key projects identified from strategic industry analysis
  • Support in driving communication meetings with leadership teams

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 3-5 years' of relevant experience
  • Strong demonstrated experience in strategic business analysis and development / execution of growth plans
  • Experience in developing growth plans, market analysis, portfolio roadmaps, conduct competitive analysis, develop business cases and general growth strategies
  • Experience in process industries, sales, business development, or marketing is a key advantage
