The following position is to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team (CS&D):

The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities, evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.

The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, drive portfolio strategy, and support M&A transactions. The candidate must be a methodical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.

What You Will Do

• Support the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives
• Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or emerging opportunities
• Assess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategies
• Support annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long-range business unit planning
• Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling, presentation development and due diligence execution
• Construct analytical models in support of various strategy analyses
• Assist in the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level
• Balance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross-functional work environment

Qualifications You Must Have       

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
• Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required

• Aerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sector experience
• Ability to take ownership of assigned projects/teams, handle ambiguity and independently drive for results
• Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)
• Ability to think pragmatically – not just theoretically – and drive execution of concepts
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities
• Familiarity with financial data services (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Factset, Bloomberg)
• Proven ability to listen, negotiate, influence and persuade others

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
