Description

Who We Are - About Us

At CSC, we equip innovators with the tools they need to accelerate progress and build a better future.

CSC Leasing is an organization of innovators dedicated to meeting the equipment financing needs of companies across the United States and international markets. We focus on CapEx financing for mission critical assets, primarily servicing growth equity sponsored companies in the Technology, CPG, AgTech, Robotics and Life Sciences industries.

Founded in 1986, CSC is a family owned and operated business headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. With $1 billion in assets under management, CSC serves innovative companies ranging from fortune 500 companies to venture backed start-ups.

How this role Impacts CSC and its People:

The Analyst, Strategy & Operations will serve as the operational backbone of CSC's strategy team, ensuring initiatives move from concept to completion with discipline, structure, and accountability. This person will project manage across all Catalyst Engine initiatives, work directly with senior executives to drive progress on their commitments, and support the development and execution of CSC's strategic priorities. The role is built for someone who brings exceptional organizational rigor, attention to detail, and follow-through, and who thrives in a high-energy environment where they provide the structure that keeps everything on track.

What You'll Do at CSC:

  • Project manage across all Catalyst Engine initiatives, building and maintaining structured tracking systems, timelines, and status reporting to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Work directly with CSC's senior executives to drive progress on strategic commitments, hold leaders accountable to deliverables and deadlines, and escalate blockers before they become problems.
  • Prepare, organize, and manage all materials for CSC's quarterly and annual strategy meetings, including pre-reads, agendas, presentation decks, and post-meeting follow-up trackers with clear owners and due dates.
  • Lead smaller strategic initiatives independently while supporting the broader strategy team on larger, more complex projects.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools that give leadership real-time visibility into initiative progress, key milestones, and areas requiring attention.
  • Coordinate across departments to gather information, schedule key meetings, and drive alignment on cross-functional workstreams, serving as a reliable point of contact that teams trust to keep things organized and moving.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including market sizing, competitive landscaping, benchmarking, and scenario analysis.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, concise deliverables (memos, presentations, one-pagers) tailored for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Validate data, stress-test assumptions, and ensure deliverables are accurate and complete before they reach senior leaders.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to how CSC plans, tracks, and executes strategic priorities.
  • Leverage AI tools and technology to increase the speed and quality of analytical work, project tracking, and communications.

How You'll Do It:

  • With Structure: Build repeatable systems, maintain organized processes, and bring order to complex, fast-moving environments. You are the person who ensures nothing gets lost.
  • With Thoroughness: Sweat the details. Double-check the data, proofread the deck, verify the numbers. Your work product is the quality control layer for the team.
  • With Ownership: Take responsibility for your workstreams end-to-end. Anticipate what needs to happen and make it happen without waiting to be asked.
  • With Agility: Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment that demands adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to prioritize effectively amid competing objectives.
  • With Integrity: Deliver on commitments, maintain transparency, and communicate with honesty and respect at every level of the organization.
  • With Curiosity: Ask thoughtful questions, dig deep to understand CSC's business model, and continuously look for ways to improve how we operate and execute.
  • With Collaboration: Build trust and alignment across departments by listening first, valuing diverse perspectives, and driving toward shared outcomes. Navigate effectively between different working styles and personalities.
  • With Excellence: Maintain a high bar for quality in everything you produce, from data analysis to presentation materials to project execution.
  • With Optimism and Ambition: Approach challenges with creativity and determination, knowing that meaningful progress often starts with big ideas and bold execution.

The Skills and Experience You'll Need To Be Successful

We have organized the critical skills required to be successful into five key areas:

  1. Operational Rigor & Project Management - The ability to build and maintain structured systems for tracking multiple initiatives simultaneously, break large projects into discrete tasks with clear milestones, monitor progress, and hold stakeholders (including senior leaders) accountable to commitments.
  2. Attention to Detail & Quality Control - The ability to validate data, catch errors, stress-test assumptions, and ensure every deliverable is accurate and complete before it reaches decision-makers. You are the person who pauses to verify before the team moves to action.
  3. Communication & Storytelling - The ability to simplify complexity, structure narratives, and present data and ideas clearly for executive-level audiences.
  4. Technology & AI Fluency - The ability to adopt and leverage modern tools (AI, automation, project management software, data management) to amplify output and work more efficiently than traditional approaches allow.
  5. Emotional Intelligence & Collaboration - The ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, work effectively in a service orientation, influence without authority, and navigate sensitive or ambiguous situations with professionalism.

Experience

Required:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, private equity portfolio operations, revenue/sales operations, chief of staff, or a similar role in a high-growth operating environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build structured processes and manage projects with multiple stakeholders and competing timelines.
  • Track record of working directly with senior executives, driving accountability, and ensuring follow-through on commitments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a natural tendency to verify, validate, and ensure completeness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating clear deliverables for senior audiences.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous settings that require adaptability, prioritization, and self-direction.
  • High degree of ownership, curiosity, and accountability, with a track record of taking initiative.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Monday.com, or Smartsheet).
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) and a demonstrated interest in using technology to work smarter.

Preferred:

  • Background in financial services, technology, or innovation-driven sectors.
  • Experience with SQL, database management, or data pipeline tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Exposure to operational process improvement, business transformation, or scaling initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
