Title: Power Market Strategy Manager
The Power Market Strategy Manager leads East Point Energy's power market analytics function and serves as a key strategic advisor on investment, acquisition, development, and commercialization decisions across the company's utility-scale energy storage portfolio. This role combines deep expertise in wholesale power markets, quantitative analysis, revenue forecasting, and market strategy to identify and maximize value creation opportunities.
The Manager will be responsible for developing market views, evaluating emerging market opportunities, overseeing revenue and market analyses, and translating complex market dynamics into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. The position will also guide the work of consultants and analysts, establish analytical best practices, and help shape East Point's broader market strategy. The position reports directly to the Director of Business Development and will collaborate with a variety of internal and external parties.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Lead power market analysis to support investment, acquisition, development, and commercialization decisions across East Point Energy's energy storage portfolio
  • Develop market outlooks and strategic recommendations related to energy, capacity, ancillary service, and emerging revenue opportunities
  • Oversee revenue forecasting and market assessments for existing and prospective projects
  • Translate complex market data and analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
  • Manage relationships with third-party consultants and analytical service providers, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables
  • Leverage operational asset performance and market intelligence to improve forecasting methodologies and investment decision-making
  • Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional efforts that advance East Point Energy's growth objectives
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

Skills:
  • Advanced understanding of U.S. wholesale electricity markets, including energy, capacity, and ancillary service markets
  • Experience developing market forecasts, revenue models, and investment recommendations
  • Proficiency with Python, R, Power BI, SQL, or similar analytical and visualization tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in power markets, energy analytics, energy storage, renewable energy, investment analysis, energy consulting, or a related field
  • Experience supporting investment, development, commercialization, or portfolio management decisions within wholesale power markets
  • Experience managing external consultants, leading projects, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders

Travel & Time Commitment:
  • Limited travel related to industry conferences and company events
  • This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Standard office hours are from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST. The demands of projects may require work outside of these times.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $144,000 - $174,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus. This range reflects the target level for this hire; however, we may consider candidates at other career levels depending on experience. Final title and compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.

Location:
