Job description

The Senior Marketing Manager, Strategy & Operations leads the execution of Unboxed's marketing strategy through strong operational management, marketing technology ownership, performance reporting, vendor coordination, and budget administration. This hands-on leader manages a small team of employees and contractors supporting design and events, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across sales, leadership, content, social, creative, and brand functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Translate company marketing strategy into actionable cross-channel plans, priorities, timelines, and operating processes.
  • Partner with Sales and executive leadership to ensure marketing initiatives align with pipeline, revenue, and account-growth objectives.

Team and Vendor Management
  • Lead and develop a small team of employees and contractors (design, events, and related resources), setting priorities, providing coaching, and reviewing work product.
  • Manage outsourced appointment-setting and lead-generation agencies, including KPI definition, lead-quality evaluation, performance reviews, and ongoing optimization.
  • Manage relationships with relevant learning and talent-development industry associations and events, including sponsorships, logistics, vendor coordination, and budgets.

Marketing Operations and Technology
  • Own marketing operations, including systems, processes, workflows, reporting, vendor coordination, and financial administration.
  • Administer and optimize HubSpot for marketing automation, account-based campaigns, lead scoring, campaign execution, and performance dashboards.
  • Maintain the marketing technology ecosystem (integrations, data hygiene, troubleshooting, tool evaluation, and vendor management).
  • Use data-enrichment, conversation-intelligence, and AI-enabled tools to strengthen account targeting, improve lead quality, generate insights, and support marketing decision-making.
  • Support RFP processes and administer RFP automation tools to keep proposal content current and improve response speed.

Digital Presence and Performance
  • Oversee website performance, SEO, and content relevancy, coordinating with internal or external development resources.
  • Develop and present marketing performance reports and dashboards for leadership and executive audiences.

Key Skills:
  • Marketing strategy and execution planning, translating priorities into coordinated campaigns and operational plans
  • HubSpot expertise, including automation, lead scoring, ABM support, reporting, and dashboard development
  • Marketing technology management, including integrations, data quality, troubleshooting, vendor evaluation, and platform optimization
  • Performance measurement and reporting, with the ability to analyze and communicate results to leadership
  • Team, contractor, agency, and vendor management, including creative/design, event, lead-generation, and appointment-setting partners
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered
  • Seven or more years of marketing operations, demand generation operations, marketing program operations, or related experience
  • Prior people-management experience, including employees and contractors
  • Experience with data-enrichment platforms such as ZoomInfo and revenue-intelligence tools such as Gong
  • Experience using AI tools, such as Claude, to improve reporting, analytics, dashboard development, or operational efficiency
  • Familiarity with website management, SEO, web-development coordination, and platforms such as Heroku
  • Familiarity with RFP processes and RFP automation tools
