The Marketing / Business Strategy team is a small but dynamic group within Marina Bay Sands which plays a pivotal role in supporting the long-term growth of our business. We provide direct strategic and analytical support to our casino sales teams by developing long-term strategies for growth, providing insights and analytics on business trends, and identifying opportunities to optimize our business performance. We are also involved in some of the most impactful projects across the company, including pursuing development opportunities in new markets. Importantly, our team strives to be an incubator of talent within our company.

We are seeking a Manager / Senior Manager of Strategic Planning to join our team. The role requires a combination of strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills along with a business-oriented mindset, with a goal of future deployment into a leadership position within one of our business units. We are also seeking someone who is a good team-player and has a long-term interest in joining the gaming industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop short and long-term strategic plans for our casino sales teams and follow up on the tracking and execution of such plans.
  • Assist with the development, execution, and dissemination of market deliverables, including performance analyses, patron activity assessments, monthly marketing performance overviews, and additional deliverables as may be requested.
  • Drive sustainable segment growth by establishing a deep understanding of key source markets, building relationships with our casino sales teams, tracking business trends and pacing, refining reinvestment strategies, etc.
  • Involved in strategic goal setting and driving initiatives for patron acquisition, retention, maintenance and growth for respective sales teams.
  • Effectively communicate strategies, ideas, and recommendations to senior management and team members.
  • Create key performance metrics for the segment and monitor results to ensure goal alignment and attainment.
  • Execute special projects and deep-dives into the business to identify business trends and unique insights into patron behaviour which can further enhance the understanding of the business.
  • Work with stakeholders across the property to identify strategic priorities, develop initiatives, and build long-term strategic plans to drive growth, including items such as involvement in budgeting/forecasting, review of marketing programs, and the implementation of sales incentive plans.
  • Conduct competitive market research, including analyzing the industry and competitive landscapes, compiling regional business intelligence, and utilizing market data to identify and communicate actionable opportunities and trends
  • Prepare and present strategic planning materials for management briefings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Execute special projects as assigned by senior management.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year institution majoring in business, finance, accounting, marketing, economics or a related field is preferred

Experience

  • At least 5 years of prior experience as a business analyst or corporate analyst is preferred.
  • Knowledge of casino and/or hospitality industries is a strong plus.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset with a strong understanding of key marketing and database management

Competencies

  • Must have strong PC skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel/MS PowerPoint/ MS Word and experience working with complex databases. Understanding of SAS/SPPS (or similar) and VBA is desirable.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and PowerPoint presentation skills; the ability to create clear and concise presentations for Executive Management is critical.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with team members in a professional, respectful manner.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • Must be self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results.
