Gnostech is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to provide communications, administrative, and operational support for internal and external stakeholders. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities and Qualifications will include but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform outreach to the media, Congress, the Department of Defense, and the public by preparing communications materials for external messaging and distribution.
  • Support the Chief of Staff/Corporate Operations with providing information and communications support to the Leadership Team, JPO Community, and to F-35 stakeholders.
  • Assist with the planning, development, and posting of updates to social media channels. Support efforts to provide digital media support for events.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of strategic communications, media outreach, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with messaging strategies for diverse audiences including the public, DoD, and congressional offices.
  • Knowledge of public affairs, media relations, and government communications practices.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  •  BA/BS degree and 5 years of experience providing strategic communications and media outreach support.
  • AA/AS degree accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 5 years of experience performing the duties described in the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • GED/Diploma accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 10 years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Desired Experience

  • Familiarity with Military Departments and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) policy and documentation, and DoD reporting tools and major reports.

Minimum Security Clearance

  • Current active Secret Clearance
