POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for store operations, sales, store appearance, customer service, inventory, and management of employees, in coordination and cooperation with the Area Supervisor and General Manager. Coaches, manages, trains, mentors, recognizes, and focuses on store employees and their individual and collective performance. Takes initiative to ensure the storeโ€™s overall goals are met or exceeded. Emphasizes team efforts. Helps model and set the tone for interaction with the customers and employees. Understands how that influences the public perception of ROC.

Requirements:

Knowledge and Education

  • High school graduation or equivalent, preferred. Some college level courses in business, management, operations, or related field or equivalent experience, helpful.
  • Knowledge of retail management and people management, a plus.
  • Knowledge of overall effective business management, including operational responsibility for revenues, expenses, and risk management.
  • Solid knowledge of store operations, required โ€“ merchandising, inventory control, cash control.

Experience

  • One to two years experience in management, retail management, or store operations position.
  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of management, finances, accounting, reporting, customer service, inventory management, and other related operational areas.
  • Demonstrated effective track record in retail sales and operations.

Skills and Abilities

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Good people and customer interaction skills.
  • Skills in areas of leadership, management, coaching, teaching, and motivating employees.
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to details; mathematical analytical ability. Use of calculator.
  • Good computer skills, e.g. point of sale system.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems โ€“ operational, customer, and employee.
  • Customer service skills related to interaction with resolving customer concerns.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and demanding environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, i.e., pick-up where left off when interrupted.
  • Good organizational skills.

Schedule: 50 hours per week
