Job description

Job Title: Company Store Inventory/Pricing Lead

Market Title: Company Store Inventory/Pricing Lead

Location: Wittenberg WI

Status: Regular Full-Time

FLSA: Non-Exempt


JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing our customers with an excellent shopping experience, as well as an on-floor presence and leadership throughout the day for store team members. Product and pricing duties include system setup of vendors and store items, product purchase orders, receiving processes, inventory stocking and cycle counts and invoice reconciliation. Report creation is required as directed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for key inventory elements. This lead position will also include normal “hands on” store duties as needed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


All duties will include both Nueske’s Company Store and Schoolhouse Market Gift Shop.

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Create and submit purchase orders for vendors, ensuring desired inventory target levels. Communicate with internal and external business partners.
  • Perform or assist in receiving duties for Company Store purchase orders including check-in process and verifying packing slip and invoice accuracy.
  • Process and reconcile invoices within a 24-hour turnaround from delivery to system verification to submission.
  • Maintain item information for cost and pricing records in Cloud POS system. Assist management in creation and updating regularly.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly price maintenance.
  • Analyze product selling trends and forecast future sales curves. Present purchase order and inventory recommendations to management.
  • In charge of all in-store signage. Both display and creation of signs.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts on store items to ensure accurate inventory numbers and levels.
  • Generate assigned month-end reports after ensuring that all receiving, adjustments and refund processes have been completed.
  • Create sales and item movement reports as requested by management.
  • Assists in leading 5-15 employees to include planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring tasks to ensure they are done in a timely manner. Communicate directions to the team and provides direct feedback and support to store management.
  • Support training initiatives to ensure that outstanding customer service is provided to every customer. Communicate identified training or observed customer service gaps to management.
  • Assists management to determine best practice for processes, work assignments, and prioritize work to enhance the customer experience. Ensures leadership coverage throughout daily operation including opening and closing of the building and all related processes.
  • Supports the execution of processes, work routines, assignments focused on staff development and continued growth directed by management.
  • Possess high ability to anticipate customer needs and the demands of a fast-paced retail environment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior retail experience and/or training required.
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint, internet research and POS systems required.
