- Prepare weekly store inventory packets: Review items not on file and bad counts, and communicate with Loss Prevention (LP) and Store Operations for issue resolution.
- Analyze inventory results: Identify variations from trends or predictive models.
- Upload inventory schedules: Work with Loss Prevention (LP) to ensure timing between inventories meets established thresholds.
- Monitor store inventories: Identify stores needing inventory checks and prepare forecasts to ensure compliance.
- Process inventory date changes: Ensure proper approvals are obtained.
- Reconcile systematic entries: Catch potential errors in the General Ledger.
- Review store supply expenses: Follow up on expenses outside thresholds with stores or Distribution Centers (DC).
- Correct journal entries: Address errors in systematic entries.
- Process inventory revaluations: Handle weekly re/devaluations and store order pack changes.
- Respond to field inquiries: Address questions and requests from the "Inventory Questions" email.
- Support audits: Accommodate internal and external audit requests.
- Prepare complex journal entries: Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations: Analyze accounts for compliance with accounting and valuation concepts.
