The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated P&C Product Management Manager for the Property and Casualty (P&C) Go-To-Market team. This role will support the states of Illinois and Indiana.

This role supports the achievement of property and casualty (P&C) insurance profit and growth targets in assigned state(s). Assists in development of strategic vision and tactical plans which profitably expand USAAs product line market share. Focuses on state-specific competitive and financial KPIs to anticipate and react to potential trends. Identifies opportunities to make regional impacts across P&C, which drive best practices and innovation across the organization.

This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week.

What you'll do:

  • Works with large data sets to develop analytical insights and analyzes state-specific P&L and marketing strategy and the impact of marketing investments.
  • Answers financial and customer-related questions from key stakeholders using multiple data sources including SAS, SQL, Tableau, R, etc.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders partners to develop insights to develop and execute on multi-year state strategy.
  • Engages with external regulators to bring strategic actions to market.
  • Analyzes data with internal stakeholders, such as pricing, UW, and claims, to identify growth opportunities, build a 360-degree view of the membership and present key learnings.
  • Builds reports using data tools to monitor business performance and communicate results.
  • Identifies emerging themes, internal and external trends to improve performance and minimize risk.
  • Assists with the evaluation of product performance metrics and competitor actions to help facilitate decision making at regional/ countrywide level.
  • Partners with Government & Industry Relations, Attorney, and Compliance Advisor to manage relationship with local regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
  • Serves as a resource to team members by providing guidance and training on processes and procedures in support of product line initiatives.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Statistics; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 6 years of relevant product or program management experience analyzing data and developing recommendation, or an advanced degree in Business, with 4 years of product or program management experience.
  • 3 years of P&C experience.
  • Working experience in creating product briefings and presenting to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively conducting product analysis & gain an in depth understanding of market dynamics including competitor underwriting initiatives and rate level analysis.
  • Competent knowledge of applicable product related regulations, and risk and compliance requirements.

  • Proven complex data analytical experience and the ability to demonstrate an aptitude for pulling data as well as analyze trends to make recommendations to leadership

  • US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450 - $197,730.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
