Position Description
Redhorse Corporation (Redhorse) is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as our Engineering Manager for the Conditions Based Maintenance (CBM+) Program. The Engineering Manager will directly report to the Program Manager of the CBM+ Program and will be the lead for engineering support activities within the program. This position will be based in National Capital Region offices in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, VA.
The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Program Management Team overseeing the work of the User Engagement Teams and Delivery Teams. The candidate will develop and lead a workforce of engineers, aviation maintenance subject matter experts and data scientists. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the technical effort and for ensuring effective, efficient, repeatable engineering processes, quality controls amp; culture. The Engineering Manager will advise the Program Manager and the government customer on prioritization of work and possible innovations to better meet the mission.
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as a key contributor to the development and maintenance of the CBM+ Program
  • Develop and document best-practice methodologies, processes, standards and engage with Vice President, Digital Solutions to evaluate and refine corporate best-practices.
  • Support the identification, evaluation and selection of tools and technologies
  • Prepare technical papers, reference graphics and architectures
  • Advise on technical Position Descriptions and participate in hiring process for key technical staff
  • Mentor and develop subordinate engineers, data scientists and data analysts
Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials include:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • The Engineering manager will have at least 20 years of progressive experience managing large-cross-functional engineering efforts and delivering complex AI/ML-enabled software applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise and thought leadership in the development and use of DEVSECOPS workflows and machine learning efforts applied to government problems.
  • Expert knowledge of machine learning
  • Proven ability to drive key client communication and expectations
  • Experience engaging clients and developing relationships at the highest levels of the Federal Government
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand business functionality
  • Ability to foster positive business relationships
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with office productivity software, such as Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and file sharing applications.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Able to travel as needed to meet with government customers and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications include:
  • Masters or PhD
  • Experience with C3.ai platform
  • Experience in Predictive Maintenance / Logistics
  • Experience with Air Force Aviation Maintenance, Supply Chain and/or Logistics
