If so, then Northrop Grumman Space Sector is the place for you. Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Program Planning Manager - Level 3, to join our team.

This individual will serve as a process/tool and Scheduling Manager within Northrop Grumman's Space Sector with duties centered on the overall Earned Value scheduling process and related reporting metrics. Management will support a variety of space programs.This position will be onsite in Dulles, VA.

Role and Impact:

  • Facilitate high caliber, rapid response EVMS scheduling process, tools and training for programs as a representative for the Scheduling Management functional group
  • Ensure internal/external best practice program planning and scheduling team support.
  • Assist the team and cross-check development of high-quality program baseline review artifacts, schedule risk assessments (SRAs), latest Health Metrics and deliverable products.
  • Provide program startup support with experienced recommendations for program coordination and structure and support development and presentation of kickoff packages.
  • Aid program planning to hit target team annual goals.
  • Fortify team planning data, logical sequencing of activities, and establishment of activity durations.
  • Coordinate setup/use automated scheduling software tools to build and report on program IMS files.
  • Disseminate guidance on schedule analysis and reporting, including critical path analysis and assessment, schedule risk assessments, and schedule health metrics analysis.
  • Support major proposal and pipeline reviews.
  • Collaborate with other functional leadership teams to ensure seamless and collaborative integration of your team efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant professional experience - OR - master's degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Government Top Secret (TS) Clearance and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information Access (SCI)
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining a program schedule in a scheduling software tool (MS Project, Open Plan, PS3, etc.).
  • Ability to understand and maintain a resource loaded network
  • Extensive Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience.
  • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
  • Understand process and implementation of schedule risk assessments (using Acumen Fuse or other commercial SRA tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with technical subject matter experts and business operations personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance or Special Compartmented Information (SCI) Access.
  • Experience leading and training junior Schedule Analysts.
  • Direct experience with automated cost and schedule integration (to include MS Project and Cobra).
  • DCMA certification.
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $175,400.00 - $263,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
