Ithaka Hospitality Partners is seeking a passionate and organized Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Elevation Convening Center & Hotel. This role supports the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services meet the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will help supervise and train staff, maintain operational efficiency, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience. Job Summary:
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports all housekeeping and laundry functions for Elevation Convening Center & Hotel, Elevation Fitness, and The Goldthwaite House. This includes guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services, while assisting the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Assists in all aspects of housekeeping operations, including scheduling, training, and onboarding staff.

• Supports pre-shift huddles and departmental meetings as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.

• Helps monitor staff performance to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensures team members follow hotel policies and procedures.

• Approaches all encounters with guests and associates in a hospitable and service-oriented manner.

• Assists in maintaining guest satisfaction and room cleanliness scores.

• Monitors housekeeping-related guest feedback and works to resolve issues promptly.

• Supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing housekeeping budgets, inventory, payroll, and labor costs.

• Assists in supervising housekeeping and laundry supervisors.

• Maintains key control systems for housekeepers.

• Participates in associate performance appraisals and staff evaluations as assigned.

• Provides support for MOD coverage when needed.

• Conducts walkthroughs and inspections with Executive Housekeeper or management team.

• Executes emergency procedures following hotel standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure.

• Knowledge of hotel and housekeeping operations.

• Familiarity with housekeeping software and systems.

• Customer service-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:

• Associate's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.

• Previous experience in housekeeping or supervisory role preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
