SENIOR AGILE COACH
ONSITE - BROADWAY, NEW YORK CITY
OVERVIEW:
The Senior Agile Coach is responsible for advancing Agile maturity across Product Line Teams by coaching leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams in Agile principles, Lean practices, and product operating models.
The role partners with business and technology leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, delivery predictability, and customer value while supporting enterprise transformation initiatives. The Senior Agile Coach also contributes to the evolution of the Agile Center of Excellence by developing standards, governance, metrics, training, and continuous improvement practices that enable consistent Agile adoption across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Coaching & Transformation
- Coach Product Line Teams, Delivery Teams, and leadership on Agile values, principles, and practices.
- Assess Agile maturity and develop improvement plans.
- Facilitate organizational change and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Guide teams in adopting Lean-Agile ways of working.
- Remove organizational impediments impacting delivery.
- Product Delivery Excellence
- Coach Product Managers and Product Owners on product planning, backlog management, prioritization, and value delivery.
- Improve sprint planning, execution, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Promote continuous improvement and delivery predictability.
- Support dependency management across teams and portfolios.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Agile coaching, Agile transformation, or Agile delivery leadership.
- Comprehensive understanding of various Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) and their practical applications.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
- Experience coaching leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Delivery Teams
- Experience establishing or contributing to an Agile Center of Excellence (CoE), including Agile standards, governance, metrics, training, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of product planning, backlog management, prioritization, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel or spreadsheets to develop, analyze, and maintain Agile metrics, maturity assessments, governance reports, dashboards, KPIs, and portfolio or delivery tracking.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Lean practices, and product operating models.
