    Description:

    This position is for a SQL Developer with Transactional system development experience (.Net/C# Code Front-end using a SQL Server database).  - please read through the skills section and entire description for more detail.

    Duties include:

    NOTE: THIS IS NOT A DBA POSITION WHERE THE RESOURCE IS DOING MAINTENANCE, UPGRADES, STORAGE ALLOCATION OR BACKUP.  IT IS A DEVELOPER ROLE WHERE THE RESOURCE SPECIALIZES IN CODING AGAINST A SQL BACKEND DATABASE.

    The initial amount on the purchase order is 3 months to take us to fiscal year end, but extension is expected.

    The successful candidate will spend a good portion of their time working with the KinderTrack front end developer(s) troubleshooting system problem reports and processing enhancement requests.

    While working on system enhancements the successful candidate is expected to propose, design, and develop solutions in concert with the front end developer(s) to fulfill the requirements of the request.  The candidate will also be responsible for system testing and working with the business users during acceptance testing.

    The successful candidate will be required to follow standard practices for migrating changes to the test and production environments and provide post production support.  When not working on enhancement requests or problem reports, the candidate would concentrate on performance tuning.

     Required / Desired Skills:

     5 years work experience in

     SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, and 2016,T-SQL

     developing and optimizing complex stored procedures

     user defined functions and triggers

     Database modeling and design Execution of SQL best practices in regards to security and privacy

  •  building ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS)

     working with big databases  .Net development team

     Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS) is a plus

     SDLC and Agile development practices
