Overview:

Our client is seeking a senior-level SQL Server expert to perform a deep assessment of a critical, high-traffic enterprise platform experiencing recurring performance and CPU utilization challenges during peak business activity. This is a highly visible initiative with significant business impact. The primary objective is to identify the true root cause of ongoing performance issues, develop a defensible technical assessment supported by evidence, and provide recommendations to improve system stability, scalability, and overall system performance.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assess a mission-critical SQL Server environment supporting a high-volume enterprise application

• Investigate recurring CPU utilization and performance degradation issues during peak usage periods

• Analyze SQL Server configuration, database architecture, query performance, and resource utilization

• Evaluate infrastructure dependencies and database/server interactions

• Review replication processes, backup strategies, and database administration practices

• Perform root cause analysis and performance diagnostics

• Develop evidence-based findings and remediation recommendations
