Nature of Work:
This position is responsible for a variety of accounting functions under the guidance and supervision of the Accounting Manager. The primary role of the Staff Accountant II will focus on timely and accurate month-end close, maintaining account reconciliations, internal reporting, inventory, and various other projects.
Examples of work performed:
Record and document the movement of inventoried items and perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
Assist with physical inventory counts (at least annually in CA).
Administer the revenue recognition process including deferred revenue reconciliations.
Record monthly journal entries and accurately reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Oversee cash receipts and the payment application process.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting for state sales tax returns.
Maintain fixed assets subledger.
Provide accurate and timely reports to the sales and administrative teams.
Manage the collection of cash on bulk-sale contracts with varying contract terms.
Record monthly accruals and other projects in conjunction with the financial statements.
Complete ad-hoc requests as necessary.

Qualifications:
1-3 Years of experience with general ledger accounting (or public accounting).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is a must.
Experience with automation tools is a plus (Macros, Power Automate, AI)
CPA designation or working towards a CPA designation is a plus.
Compensation
Based on qualifications and experience.
Base Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000
